From the First Tee to the Final Putt: Drive Fore Dorados Delivers Big for Our Athletes

What an incredible day for Dorado Football and our community!

Thanks to the support of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and donors, the inaugural Drive Fore Dorados Golf Tournament exceeded our expectations, raising more than $12,000 to support our football program and student-athletes.

The event brought together 139 golfers, including community members, parents, former Dorados, coaches, and players, all united by their support for Dorado Football. The energy throughout the day was amazing.

The tournament would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors, including our Title Sponsor, 5 Team Sponsors, 2 Game Sponsors, and 18 Hole Sponsors. Their commitment to our athletes helped make this event a tremendous success.

The competition on the course was fierce, with cash prizes awarded to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. We also recognized our last-place finishers with golf lessons!! Team names were another highlight of the day, with favorites including the ParTee Animals, We Like Big Putts, Aye Caramba, and Team Chorizo! On-course games added to the excitement throughout the day, with both male and female winners recognized for their outstanding performances. One of our own, Dorado athlete Ben Campbell, impressed the field by winning the Longest Drive competition in the men's division.

"This event was even better than we expected!" said Booster Club President Brandi Duarte. "Seeing all the smiling faces on the course was so worth it. Thank you to everyone who donated time and money. We are so grateful for our Dorado community."

One of the most rewarding parts of the tournament is that the impact is already being felt. Funds raised through Drive Fore Dorados have already helped provide meals for our players before and after attending the ASU 7-on-7 Passing Academy and Big Man Camp.

Most importantly, this event showcased what makes the Dorado community so special. From alumni returning to support the program, to parents volunteering their time, to local businesses investing in our athletes, the tournament was a reminder that Dorado Football is about much more than what happens on Friday nights.
