Congrats Dorados!!!!! We made the State playoffs !!!!
The 4A conference has 54 total teams and the top 16 get the ticket to the big dance. There were 14 teams that had a record of 500% or better that didn't get the call. With a young group this has been an all hands-on deck approach.
Thanks to all the support staff and families that made this possible with your care and support.
We did it together.
We took some hard lumps but playing the schedule we played, was the difference in making the playoffs.
We played the following...
Marana - Ranked the top team in all levels this year open division #1 seed in the state.
Mica - 4A Ranked 4 seed - my guess the number 2 team in 4A
Waldon Grove - 4A ranked 9 seed.
Bradshaw 4A Ranked 12 seed.
Here are some other keys:
Your sons became the school's 30th football team in school history to make the playoffs.
We now will add a lifetime goldbrick in the locker room with this year's team on it.
We are now part of the golden standard.
Also with the Covid season this is now 6 years in a row, happy to keep that streak alive.
Thank you to the boosters and players that helped update the locker room. You can see the before and after pictures.
We can now honor the past and build the future.
